월정사 정념 주지스님은 “사막화와 황사발원지 현장에서 땅과 지구생명을 살리는 사람 나무를 심어 생태계와 지구생명, 그리고 기후난민의 자립을 푸른아시아와 함께 시작할 수 있어 의미롭다”며 소감을 표했다. 이에 푸른아시아 오기출 상임이사는 감사 인사로 “사람의 건강을 살리는 ‘릴레이 밥상’이 이제 지구의 생명을 돕는 ‘나무와 숲’이라는 ‘릴레이 밥상’으로 이어지게 해주셔서 월정사와 월정사문화원, 그리고 함께해주신 시민들에게 감사드린다, 나무로 돌려드리겠다”며 화답했다.
