브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이재명 더불어민주당 대표는 7일 이래경 혁신위원장이 9시간만에 사퇴한 것과 관련 "결과에 대해 무한책임을 지는 것이 당 대표가 하는 일"이라고 밝혔다.
이재명 대표는 이날 최고위원회의를 마친 뒤 기자들과 만난 자리에서 "당에서 벌어지는 문제에 대해선 언제나 당 대표가 책임져야 한다"며 이같이 말했다.
그는 "당 대표가 권한을 가진 만큼, 내부 논의를 충분히 했든, 안 했든, 논의를 충분히 하고 하는 일입니다만 결과에 대해서 언제나 무한책임을 지는 것이 당 대표가 하는 일"이라고 강조했다.
다만 이 대표는 어떤 방식으로 책임을 질 것인지 등에 대한 구체적인 계획은 밝히지 않았으며 이 사태로 인한 본인의 거취 결단을 내릴 것인지를 묻는 질문에도 답하지 않았다.

한편 이래경 다른백년 명예이사장은 지난 5일 전 민주당 혁신위원장으로 선임된 이후 '천안함 자폭설' 등 과거했던 발언들이 논란을 빚어 9시간만에 자진 사퇴했다.
아울러 권칠승 수석대변인은 이래경 이사장의 해촉을 요구한 최원일 전 천안함장을 향해 "부하들을 다 죽이고 무슨 낯짝으로 그런 말을 하느냐. 부하들 다 죽이고 어이가 없다"고 말하며 또 한번 논란을 불러일으키기도 했다.
