이날 협의에서는 손병복 울진군수와 박형수 국회의원을 비롯해 김원석 도의원과 군의원 및 국·실·과장 등 30여 명이 참석한 가운데 지역 현안과 2024년 국비 건의 사업에 대해 의견을 모았다.
주요 지역 현안으로 울진 원자력·수소 국가산단 조성, 영덕∼삼척 간 고속도로 건설, 국도 36호선 4차로 확장·포장, 대형산불피해지 긴급벌채사업, 경북도 119 산불 특수대응단 건립 등 8건과, 2024년 국비 지원 건의 사업으로 수전해 기반 수소 생산 기지 구축사업, 동해안 내셔널 트레일 조성, 국립 산지생태원 조성, 국가동서트레일센터 조성, 국립 동해안 산불방지센터 신설 등 9건에 대한 정보를 공유했다.
아울러, 향후 부처별 예산안 심의 대응 단계에 앞서 국비 확보 등에 적극적으로 대응키로 의견을 모았다.
손병복 울진군수는“지방소멸이라는 시대적 위기 속에 우리 군이 앞으로의 도약에 더할 나위 없는 기회를 놓치지 않고, 경쟁력을 키워나갈 수 있도록 국회와 함께 협치의 시너지 효과를 극대화해 나가자”라고 말했다.
박형수 국회의원은“당정 간 협력체계 강화로 지역발전을 위한 주요 사업이 원활히 추진될 수 있도록 소통하는 정책으로 울진군 국책 사업지원에 최선을 다하겠다”라고 말했다.
