국회 국토교통위원회 소속 장철민 더불어민주당 의원실이 8일 입수한 '아시아나항공 비상탈출구 불법 개방 국토교통부 중간조사 결과' 보고서에 따르면, 사고가 발생한 A321-200 수리 비용은 약 6억4000만원에 이른다.
해당 항공기는 사건직후 대구공항에서 임시수리가 이뤄졌고, 지난달 30일 인천으로 옮겨져 수리를 진행 중이다.
또한 국토부 추산과 별개로 아시아나항공도 자체 피해액을 추산하고 있는 것으로 알려져, 6억원대보다 더 많은 피해액이 산정될 것으로 보인다.
한편 지난 26일 제주에서 대구를 향하던 아시아나항공 OZ8124편은 비상구 레버를 돌린 30대 남성 A씨로 인해 대구공항 인근 상공 213m쯤에서 비상구 문이 열린 채로 착륙했다. A씨는 비상구와 근접한 좌석에 착석한 상태에서 우발적으로 비상문을 작동시킨 것으로 알려졌다.
사건이 발생한 A321 기종에는 비상구 자동 잠금 기능이 없어, 비상문이 열린 상태로 가까스로 착륙에 성공했다.
이 과정에서 비상문과 탈출용 슬라이드 등 3개 부위에서 손상이 발견됐다.
