[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 의령군은 행정안전부에서 주관하는 ‘청년마을 공유주거 조성사업’ 공모에 최종 선정됐다고 15일 밝혔다.
의령군은 지난 4월 행안부에서 공모한 ‘청년마을 만들기 지원사업’에 도내 유일하게 선정돼 사업비 6억을 지원받게 됐는데 올해에만 벌써 두 번째 청년 관련 좋은 소식이다.
‘청년마을 공유주거 조성사업’은 청년마을 만들기 사업을 통해 지역에 유입된 청년들에게 주거공간을 제공하여 안정적인 지역정착을 유도하고자 추진하는 사업으로, 의령군을 포함해 전국에 5개소가 선정됐다.
의령군은 공유주거시설인 ‘도란도란청년하우스’는 행정안전부 특별교부세 10억에 군비를 더하여 의령군 칠곡면 신포리 일원에 2024년 하반기 완공될 계획이다.
‘도란도란청년하우스’는 주거공간 1인실(33㎡) 12호를 갖추고 지역에 정착하려는 청년들에게 최소한의 임대료로 주거를 제공한다.
공용거실(영화감상실) 노래연습실, 체력단련실 등의 시설이 공간에 같이 들어설 예정이다.
오태완 군수는 “의령군의 최종 목표는 칠곡면 일대에 인프라와 콘텐츠를 동시에 갖춘 대한민국 대표 청년 거점복합타운을 조성하는 것”이라며 “청년복합타운 조성을 통해 청년희망도시로 이름을 알릴 의령의 미래를 기대해 달라”고 말했다.
한편 이번 ‘도란도란청년하우스’가 조성될 칠곡면 신포리 일대는 1인 단기 체류 시설인 ‘사각사각청년하우스’와 청년커뮤니티센터 ‘청춘만개’가 지난 5월 착공해 조성 중이다.
