[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 의령 4.2추모공원 조성 사업이 속도를 내고 있다.
의령군은 궁류면 평촌리 9번지 일원에 조성될 '의령4.26추모공원' 실시설계에 착수하면서 6,610㎡ 사유지의 보상을 모두 완료했다고 19일 밝혔다.
보통 설계가 마무리된 뒤 보상 절차가 이어지는 게 통상적이지만 유족의 아픔을 하루라도 빨리 달래기 위해서는 토지 보상을 신속히 마무리해야 한다는 게 의령군 판단이었다.
최근 굵직한 사업마다 보상 문제로 1~2년 정도 사업이 지체되는 것을 고려하면 의령군은 단 45일 만에 모든 보상을 마친 것은 가히 '빛의 속도'라 할만하다.
의령군 의지, 유족들의 간절함, 지역주민 협조가 한데 모여 추모공원 조성은 일사천리로 진행되고 있다.
보상계획통지, 보상계획공고 감정평가, 보상협의까지 아무 잡음 없이 순조롭게 끝마쳤다.
군은 11월 착공까지 더욱 속도를 낸다는 계획이라고 전했다.
의령군관리계획과 공원조성계획 결정을 마무리하고 현재 진행 중인 실시설계 용역도 완성도를 높여 원하는 최상의 결과를 단박에 얻는다는 방침이다.
예상 사업비 5억 규모 위령비 디자인 전국 공모도 추진된다.
위령비는 추모공원의 상징인 만큼 역사적 의미를 충실히 전달할 실력 있는 전국 최고 '문화예술 전문가'를 추대할 방침이다.
군은 이달 27일 유족들과 전국 각지의 위령탑을 둘러보는 견학 일정을 잡고 규모와 디자인 등 건립 구상에 머리를 맞대기로 했다.
