23일 잡코리아에 따르면 최근 1년간 취업 및 이직에 성공한 남녀 직장인 357명을 대상으로, 취업과 이직에 성공하기까지 얼마의 시간이 소요됐는지 질문한 결과, 경력직 직장인들이 이직에 성공하기 까지는 평균 7개월이 걸린 것으로 나타났다.
신입직 구직자들의 경우, 첫 직장을 잡기까지는 평균 6개월 정도의 구직 기간이 필요했던 것으로 집계됐다.
구직활동을 중 가장 힘들었던 점은 경력직 구직자들은 ‘지원할 만한 공고를 탐색하는 것(60.4%)’이 가장 어려웠다고 답했다. 그간 쌓아온 업무 경력과 보유하고 있는 스킬을 잘 발휘해 커리어를 점프업 할 수 있는 공고를 찾는데 어려움을 겪은 것으로 보인다.
신입직 구직자들 중에는 ‘어떤 직무나 분야로 취업하면 좋을지 확신이 없어 힘들었다’는 의견이 응답률 51.6%로 가장 많았다. 사회경험이 부족한 취업준비생들의 경우 어떤 분야가 앞으로 유망할지, 자신의 적성에 맞는 직무가 무엇인지 파악이 힘들었을 것으로 예상된다.
