26일 군에 따르면 ‘참! 좋은 사랑의 밥차’는 IBK기업은행이 후원하고 한국자원봉사센터협회에서 지원하며 매월 지역사회 독거노인과 소외계층을 대상으로 진행된다.
이날 행사는 34명의 자원봉사자가 이른 아침부터 급식을 준비하고 매화면 갈면리, 기양리 마을주민을 대상으로 따뜻한 식사를 대접했다.
울진군은 10개 읍·면을 순회하며 자원봉사단체 및 유관기관과 협력하여 무료 급식 제공하고, 어르신들의 소통의 장을 마련하는 동시에 재능 나눔, 문화공연 등 생활편의 서비스를 함께 지원한다.
특히, 2023년에는 예년과 달리 권역별로‘사랑의 밥차’를 운영하여 더욱 많은 주민에게 혜택을 제공할 예정이다.
장태윤 종합자원봉사센터장은“어르신들께 조금이나마 보탬이 되어 감사하고 나눔의 의미를 깨닫는 소중한 시간이었다”며“앞으로도 복지 사각지대 해소를 위해 자원봉사자들과 함께 최선의 노력을 다하겠다”라고 전했다.
손병복 울진군수는“참 좋은 사랑의 밥차 사업이 어르신들의 식사 자리를 마련할 뿐만 아니라 인근 마을 간의 소통의 장도 되었다”며“앞으로 이루어질 권역별 운영이 울진군에 활력을 불어넣을 수 있는 계기가 되길 바란다”라고 말했다.
