브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 군사반란을 일으켰다 실패한 민간용병업체 바그너 그룹의 수장 예브게니 프리고진에 대한 암살 명령이 내려졌다는 외신 보도가 나왔다.
러시아 크렘린궁은 이번 반란에 참여한 이들에게 어떤한 죄도 묻지 않겠다고 밝혔으나 사실상 반란 동조자 색출 및 숙청작업이 진행되고 있는 것이다.
2일(현지시간) CNN에 따르면 우크라이나 키릴로 부다노우 국방정부국 국장은 미국 '워존(The War Zone)' 매체와의 인터뷰에서 "푸틴 대통령이 러시아 연방정보국(FSB)에 프리고진의 암살 지령을 내렸다"면서 "FSB가 암살계획을 세우고 이행할 때까지는 시간이 걸릴 것이며 임무의 성공여부는 앞으로 시간이 지나면 자연스레 알게 될 것"이라고 주장했다.
러시아 매체인 모스크바타임스도 정부 내 고위 소식통의 말을 인용해 "프리고진은 신경작용제인 '노비촉'에 의해 독살될 것이다"라고 전해, 암살 가능성이 높음을 시사했다.

앞서 푸틴 대통령은 프리고진이 운영하는 러시아 최대 급식업체인 '콩코드 케이터링'에 겨냥해 "군에 음식을 공급하고 케이터링 서비스를 통해 연간 800억 루블(1조2330억원을 벌어들였다"면서 "돈을 빼돌리지 않았는지 광범위한 조사가 필요하다"고 말하기도 했다.
러시아군 내부에서도 프리고진에 동조한 인사들에 대한 조사와 숙청이 진행 중이라는 이야기도 나온다. 모스크바타임스는 익명의 군부 관계자의 말을 인용해, 바그너 그룹 반란 기간 중 프리고진의 편에 선 것으로 알려진 수로비킨 장군이 반란 혐의로 체포됐다고 보도했다.
