[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 함안군 법수면 강주마을 일원에서 5일부터 19일까지 제11회 강주해바라기 축제가 열린다.
강주해바라기 축제위원회가 주관하는 이번 축제는 법수산 자락이 병풍처럼 둘러싸고 있는 강주마을 일원에 식재면적 기존 1단지 및 2단지까지 포함해 총 3만7000㎡ 규모 내 20만 송이의 해바라기꽃이 준비된다.
성공적인 축제 개최를 위해 마을 주민들이 힘을 모아 종자 파종 전 비닐멀칭 작업을 통해 잡초방지 및 수분유지로 해바라기가 잘 자랄 수 있도록 작업했다.
축제 기간에는 품바공연을 비롯해 화천농악, 함안농요, 버스킹 등이 마련된다.
부대행사로 농·특산물 직거래장터(생활소품, 다육식물, 전통장류 등), 먹거리 장터와 함께 해바라기 1단지에서 사진 촬영 이벤트도 열어 축제를 찾는 이들의 많은 관심을 끌 것으로 기대된다.
축제 입장료는 2000원으로 법수면민, 장애인, 미취학 아동, 만 70세 이상은 무료입장이며 입장료는 마을환경관리 및 시설물 유지보수에 사용될 예정이다.
방문객의 편의를 위해 주차 공간을 확보하고, 1주차장(법수면 강주리 1092-1), 2주차장(법수면 강주리 411), 3주차장(법수면 황사리 317)을 운영한다.
주말인 8일~9일과 15일~16일에는 셔틀버스도 운영한다. 운행 구간은 2개소로 강주일반산업단지 ↔ 강주해바라기축제장, 폐)법수중학교 ↔ 강주해바라기축제장까지다.
