[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 경남도와 경남문화예술진흥원이 지원하는 문화우물사업에 거창군 남하면 월곡, 대야마을이 예비마을로 선정됐다고 4일 밝혔다.
경남 문화우물사업은 지역의 실질적 수요에 기반해 주민 스스로 계획하고 실행하는 문화 활동을 지원하고, 지역 간 문화 격차를 해소하기 위한 생활권 문화공동체를 발굴·육성하는 사업이다.
월곡마을과 대야마을은 그동안 마을 외관 꾸미기에만 치우쳐 있던 기존 마을사업에서 벗어나, 잊혀가는 지역의 문화를 살려 주민의 화합과 행복지수를 높일 수 있다는 점에 관심을 두고 월곡마을은 ‘금화규’, 대야마을은 ‘대바지 무’를 주제로 지역특화 사업을 신청했다.
월곡마을은 ‘달이실을 문화로 달이다’라는 주제로 금화규 생활공예, 사회 관계망 서비스(SNS) 강좌 등을 통해 월곡마을을 홍보할 계획이다.
대야마을은 합천댐 수몰 전 ‘대바지(대야마을 옛 지명) 무’로 유명했던 과거 경험을 살려 마을 주민들이 무밭을 공동 경영해 무가공식품을 개발하고 전시회 등을 개최할 계획이다.
임양희 남하면장은 “문화가 중요하게 대두되고 있는 요즘 문화우물사업에 남하면 마을이 2곳이나 선정돼 뜻깊다”며 “남하면은 마을 주민들이 다양한 사업에 신청해 마을 홍보와 함께 본인들의 역량을 키우기 위해 노력을 많이 하는 것 같아 남하면의 발전이 기대된다”고 말했다.
