조선일보가 주최하고 기획재정부, 보건복지부, 중소벤처기업부 등이 후원하는 ‘한국의 최고경영대상’에서 의령군은 창조적 미래 건설을 위한 혁신 정책으로 주민 생활 편익을 증대시킨 노력 등의 성과를 인정받았다.
의령군은 군민과 소통하고 공감하며 특히 주민 생활과 밀접한 혁신 정책 사례를 다양하게 발굴하고 있다는 평가를 받았다.
귀가 학생 택시 공유서비스, 사랑나눔냉장고·중소 영세 사업장 작업복 공동세탁소 운영, 농로 도로명 및 비닐하우스 도로명주소 부여, 농기계 임대사업소와 연계한 농기계 공유사업 등이 지역 특성과 주민 생활을 반영한 대표 행정 우수 혁신사례로 심사위원들의 높은 관심을 받았다.
