브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 현대자동차그룹은 오픈이노베이션 플랫폼 ‘제로원 액셀러레이터(ZER01NE ACCELERATOR)’의 2023년 하반기 스타트업 공개 모집을 10일 시작한다고 밝혔다.
‘제로원 액셀러레이터’는 현대차그룹 내 현업팀이 직접 제안한 아이디어를 기반으로 우수한 역량을 가진 스타트업을 발굴해 협업을 진행하고, 다양한 혁신 기술의 전략적 활용 가능성을 검증 및 개발하는 오픈 이노베이션 플랫폼이다.
현대차그룹 현업팀이 스타트업 선발 과정에 직접 참여하며, 이후 최종 선발된 스타트업과 공동 프로젝트를 수행함으로써 회사 간 경계를 넘어 신기술 개발에 대한 시너지를 창출해 내는 것이 특징이다.
이번 2023 하반기 제로원 액셀러레이터는 △차량 적용 기술(Autotech, 4건) △ESG(Environmental·Social·Governance, 2건) △로보틱스(Robotics, 2건) 등 3가지 주제의 총 프로젝트 8건을 기반으로 스타트업을 모집한다.
법인 설립이 완료된 스타트업에 한해 지원 자격이 주어지며 접수는 오는 30일까지 약 3주간 ‘제로원 액셀러레이터’ 공식 홈페이지(링크)를 통해 가능하다. 최종 결과는 서류, 인터뷰 심사 등의 과정을 거쳐 올 9월 발표된다.
최종 선발된 스타트업은 프로젝트 개발비를 지원받을 수 있으며 현대차그룹이 운용하는 제로원 펀드의 지분 투자 검토 대상으로 선정된다.
한편, 2018년에 출범한 제로원 액셀러레이터에는 지금까지 현대차그룹 내 11개 그룹사, 150개의 현업팀이 참여했고 스타트업의 경우 총 160개 사가 선정됐다. 126건의 협업 프로젝트가 진행됐으며, 스타트업 79개사에 대한 지분투자가 이뤄졌다.
