의령군은 의령관문 왼쪽에 치우친 성벽을 관문 오른쪽까지 길게 연결해 의령 입구를 '충의의 고장' 다운 역사적 상징적 있는 공간으로 재구성한다는 계획을 밝혔다.
군은 지난 12일 오태완 군수와 부군수, 관계 공무원, 용역사 등 20여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘의령관문 관광활성화사업’ 실시설계 중간보고회 개최했다.
의령관문은 남해고속도로를 통해 의령으로 진입하는 첫 입구로 남강 변의 아름다운 자연경관과 함께 의병장 곽재우의 승첩지인 정암진과 국가등록문화재인 정암철교, 부자탄생 전설이 있는 솥바위 등 의령 유수의 관광자원이 즐비하다.
아쉽게도 잘 차려진 밥상에 비해 영양가는 부족했다.
