울진군, 농업 대전환 프로젝트 본격 시동

【브레이크뉴스 울진】이우근 기자=울진군(군수 손병복)은 앞으로 있을 농업 대전환을 위해 농업·농촌 및 식품산업 발전계획 수립, 유기농 복합단지 조성 등 다양한 용역을 진행하고 있다고 17일 밝혔다.

지난 14일 군청 중회의실에서‘농업·농촌 및 식품산업 발전계획 수립용역’과‘유기농 복합단지 조성사업 기본계획 및 타당성 조사 연구용역’착수 보고회를 가졌다.

울진군‘농업·농촌 및 식품산업 발전계획 수립용역’은 '농업 식품 기본법'에 따라 5년마다 수립하는 용역으로 이번 용역에는 민선 8기 울진군이 추구하는 경쟁력을 갖춘 농업 육성 전략을 적극 반영할 예정이다.

‘울진군 농업 대전환 프로젝트’와 ‘디지털 혁신 농업타운 조성사업’등 울진농업 발전을 위한 중점 전략사업을 포함해 품목별 생산 조직화, 단지화를 통한 경쟁력 제고와 지역농산물 유통시스템도 구체적으로 검토할 계획이다.

또한, 지난 2월 농림축산식품부에서 선정되어 국도비 117억원을 포함 총사업비 180억원을 확보한‘유기농 복합단지 조성사업’은, 현재 7개월간 기본계획 및 타당성 조사 연구용역을 실시하고 있다. 주요 과업 내용은 유기농 복합단지의 입지 여건 및 투자분석, 세부 사업, 토지 이용계획과 각종 인허가 사항을 검토할 계획이다.

손병복 울진군수는“이번 용역을 통해 농업인들의 실질적인 소득증대와 농촌 일자리 창출이 가능한 구체적인 실행계획을 세울 수 있어야 한다”며“특히 유기농 복합단지는 타지역과 차별화되고 지역 군민들이 많이 이용할 수 있는 시설과 체험 프로그램 개발을 통해 우리나라 친환경농업 발전에 기여할 수 있도록 용역 수행에 힘써 달라”고 당부했다.
