브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 농협 조소행 상호금융 대표이사, 황기훈 충남세종본부 부본부장, 중앙본부 및 충남세종본부 직원 40여명은 한마음으로 21일 지난주 집중호우로 피해를 입어 특별재난지역으로 지정된 충남 논산시 채운면 일대의 농가를 찾아 수해복구 작업에 나섰다.
지난주 기록적인 폭우로 논산시에서만 1500여 가구의 농작물 및 비닐하우스가 침수되는 등 충남 일대 농가 피해가 잇따른 가운데, 이날 임직원들은 매몰가옥과 침수 하우스 정비 및 농수로 토사 제거, 가재도구 정리 등에 구슬땀을 흘리며 피해농가가 하루빨리 일상으로 복귀할 수 있도록 전력을 다했다.
같은날 농협경제지주 경제지원부 임직원 20여명은 충북 청주시 농가를 찾아 폐자재 철거 등 피해복구를 위한 일손돕기를 실시했다.
조소행 상호금융대표이사는 “1000년만의 폭우로 손쓸 겨를도 없이 쑥대밭이 된 현장을 직접 마주하니 농업인들께서 겪으셨을 막막함과 참담한 심정이 고스란히 느껴진다”며 “농협은 무이자 생활안정자금 등 긴급 금융지원은 물론 특별봉사단 현장복구 활동과 이재민 구호물품 지원 등 피해농가의 조속한 안정화를 위해 물심양면 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 농협은 호우피해농가 집중지원을 위한 일손돕기 활동을 내달까지 진행할 계획이다.
