브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 농심은 시각장애인의 편의 향상을 위해 신라면큰사발에 제품 관련 정보가 담긴 QR코드를 삽입했다고 29일 밝혔다.
농심은 9월 중순까지 시각장애인용 QR코드를 대표 컵라면 10개 제품인 신라면큰사발ㆍ컵, 신라면블랙사발, 새우탕큰사발ㆍ컵, 튀김우동큰사발ㆍ컵, 사리곰탕큰사발, 육개장큰사발면, 짜파게티범벅 등으로 확대 적용할 것이라고 전했다.
농심이 점자 대신 QR코드를 선택한 것은 시각장애인 중 점자 사용이 가능한 인구는 10% 이내라는 보건복지부에서 조사결과에 따른 것이다.
시각장애인 대부분이 스마트폰을 사용해 음성으로 정보를 얻는 것으로 나타나자, 시각장애인 안내용 QR코드를 삽입하기로 결정했다.
이번에 농심이 적용한 시각장애인 안내용 QR코드는 모든 제품 동일하게 컵라면 뚜껑의 뜯는 곳 바로 위에 위치해 있어 쉽게 찾을 수 있다.
QR코드를 스캔하면 제품명과 조리법, 알레르기 유발물질, 주의사항, 고객상담 안내, 소비기한 등이 적힌 웹페이지로 연결된다. 시각장애인은 스마트폰에 내장된 문자 음성 안내 기능을 이용해 정보를 습득할 수 있다.
농심 관계자는 “서울시 시각장애인연합회 동작지회 관계자의 피드백을 받아본 결과 사용법이 쉽고 제공되는 정보도 유익하다는 평가를 받았다”라며 “앞으로도 노약자나 장애인 등 정보 접근 취약계층의 알 권리와 정보 접근성 증진을 위해 더욱 힘쓰겠다”라고 말했다
한편, 농심은 지난 1월 식품의약품안전처가 시행하는 ‘e-라벨을 활용한 식품표시 정보제공’ 시범사업의 일환으로 육개장사발면과 김치사발면에 QR코드 e-라벨을 적용한 바 있다. 라벨을 스캔하면 제품 관련 상세 정보를 스마트폰으로 확인할 수 있다. 또한, 농심은 수어로 설명하는 영상을 삽입해 청각장애인의 이해도를 한층 높였다.
