한울본부에 따르면‘북면 농업인을 위한 벼 병충해 공동방제 지원’사업은 무인 드론을 활용하여 병충해 방지 약제를 살포하는 사업으로, 적기 방제를 통한 고품질 쌀 생산과 고령화에 따른 농가 일손 부족을 해소하고자 시행했다.
올해 3월까지 공동방제 신청을 한 농가 265가구의 논 153ha에 7~8월 2차례에 걸쳐 방제 작업을 했다.
북면농업협동조합 어승수 조합장은 “한울본부의 공동방제 지원 사업에 대해 지역 농가의 만족도가 아주 높다”라며, “북면지역 농업인의 경영비 부담 완화를 위해 공동방제에 아낌없는 지원을 해주어 정말 고맙다”라고 감사를 전했다.
이세용 본부장은 “한울본부는 지역의 지속가능성을 좌우하는 근간이자 지역주민과의 상생의 핵심 조건인 지역 경제를 활성화하고 뒷받침하기 위해 농업 등 다양한 분야에 걸쳐 지원을 계속하겠다”라고 밝혔다.
