부산을 사랑하는 시민정책연대측은 9월7일자 보도자료에서 “일본 후쿠시마 원자력 핵 오염수 해양 방류 반대 대책위원회인 부산을 사랑하는 시민정책연대(이하 정책연대)가 지난 7일 오전 11시 부산역 광장에서 일본의 후쿠시마 핵 오염수 해양 방류를 반대하는 기자회견을 개최했다.”면서 “정책연대는 이날 기자회견에서 '중국 등 태평양 연안국들의 우려와 반대에도 불구하고 일본 정부의 후쿠시마 핵 오염수 해양 방류가 일주일 넘게 이어지고 있다”라며 “핵 오염수를 방류하기 시작하면 일본에 가장 인접한 우리나라의 피해는 분명하다. 당연히 우리나라도 핵 오염수 방류를 적극적으로 반대하고 나서야 할 것 같지만, 한국 정부의 반응은 미온적이기만 하다. 핵 오염수 방류를 적극적으로 반대하지 않고 있는 것'이라고 배경을 설명했다.“고 알렸다.
