【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=동국대학교 총동창회는 지난 12일 동국대 WISE캠퍼스 백주년기념관 5층 세미나실에서 2023학년도 동국장학회 장학금 수여식을 가졌다고 13일 밝혔다.

이날 수여식은 문선배 동국대학교 총동창회장, 이영경 동국대 WISE캠퍼스총장, (재)동국장학회 이사 해운스님, 조덕형 동국대학교 총동창회 직할경주동창회장, 김동호 동국대학교 총동창회 직할경주동창회 사무총장을 비롯한 동문과 교내 관계자등이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.
이번 WISE캠퍼스 수여식에서는 어려운 가정형편 속에서도 학업성적이 우수한 학생 25명에게 1백만원씩 총 2천5백만원을 수여했다.
동국장학회는 1995년 3월 동국대학교 학생과 교직원에게 장학금과 연구비 등을 지원하여 국가사회에 봉사할 수 있는 지도적 인물을 양성하고 교육문화향상에 이바지하기 위해 총동창회에서 재단법인으로 설립됐다.
문선배 동국대학교 총동창회장은 인사말에서 “이 자리에 참석한 장학생 여러분들이 미래 동국의 새로운 주역들이며 앞으로 멋진 리더가 될것이라며, ”앞으로 다시 동국으로 돌아와 모교사랑, 후배사랑을 대물림 하는 영원한 동국인이 되기를 바란다.“고 당부했다.
