올해 2월 대한체육회에서 승인한 사격 국가대표로 선발되어 대한사격연맹 국가대표 선발방침에 따라 올해 총 4차례에 걸쳐 치러진 제19회 항저우아시안게임 사격 국가대표 선발전에서 태극마크를 다는 영광을 안게 됐다.
장정인 선수는 울산여상 출신으로 2022년 1월 울진군청 사격실업팀에 입단하여 10M 공기소총 부문에서 전국대회 개인 우승 2회, 대회신기록 1회 등 각종 대회에서 입지를 굳혔다.
지난 13일 손병복 군수는 울진군청 사격팀 소속 이효철 감독과 장정인 선수를 초청해 격려했다. 이날, 훈련 상황과 컨디션 등 아시안게임 준비 현황에 대한 이야기를 나눴다.
