【브레이크뉴스 울진】이우근 기자=울진호스피스는 호스피스 제13기 자원봉사자 양성 교육과정을 지난 12일부터 14일까지 진행했다고 최근 밝혔다.
울진호피스에 따르면 이번 교육에는 17명의 봉사자가 참여해 전원 수료를 하는 등 호스피스 자원봉사에 대한 지역민들의 관심과 열의가 뜨거웠다.
이번 양성교육은 호스피스 완화의료 개요, 삶과 죽음에 대한 이해, 말기암환자의 신체증상 및 통증관리, 사별가족 돌봄 등 총 12시간에 걸쳐 전문적이고 체계적인 교육이 이뤄졌다.
교육에 참가한 한 봉사자는 "따뜻한 마음으로 가치 있는 삶을 함께 추구할 수 있는 좋은 기회가 되었다며 환자와 가족들의 아픔을 나누는 아름다운 동행을 위한 봉사자가 되고 싶다"고 소감을 밝혔다.
김용임 울진호스피스 울진지회장은 "환자의 마지막 여정을 함께 하기 위해 귀중한 시간을 내어 주신 분들께 진심으로 감사하다"며 "수료하신 모든 분들이 호스피스 완화의료를 더 잘 알고, 진정한 봉사자로서 환자와 가족들에게 아름다운 마음을 전할 수 있기를 바란다"고 말했다.
한편, 이번 양성교육과정에 대한 교육비 전액은 한울KPS3 사업소가 지원했다.
