브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 바인그룹은 KBS1 시사다큐 프로그램인 ‘동행’에 청소년 출연자의 학습 후원을 지속하고 있다고 19일 밝혔다.
바인그룹은 ESG슬로건인 ‘청소년의 건강한 미래를, 상상코칭’을 실현하기 위해, KBS 동행과 함께 평등한 교육 기회 제공 및 학습 가능한 교육 환경 조성하며, 벌써 10회 째 진행되고 있다.
이번에 바인그룹이 학습을 후원한 학생은, 동행 417회 ‘열 살 정미는 엄마의 버팀목’ 편에 출연한 정미 양으로, 울산광역시에 거주하는 다문화 가정 자녀이다.
정미 양의 어머니인 나지라씨는 막내 뇌전전증으로 인한 뇌병변으로 ‘심한 장애’ 등급을 받게 된 막내 수마야를 위해 매시간 정해진 약을 먹이고 24시간 눈을 뗄 수가 없다. 아버지인 재민씨 또한 막내의 병원비를 벌기 위해 조선소에서 일을 하지만 늘어만 나는 빚을 감당하기엔 벅차기만 하다. 이러한 바쁜 부모님을 대신해 첫째 정미 양은 본인도 어린 나이임에도 동생들을 챙기며, 직접 반찬을 만들어서 동생의 밥을 챙기고 집안일을 돕는다.
바인그룹은 10살 밖에 되지 않은 정미 양이 배움을 통해 본인이 원하는 바를 찾아 이룰 수 있도록 바인그룹의 코칭교육계열사인 상상코칭의 영어 학습을 지원하기로 했다.
정미 양의 담당코치가 된 상상코칭 박다해 코치는 “정미가 아직 어린 나이이기 때문에, 알파벳부터 파닉스까지 기초를 탄탄하게 만들기 위해 준비를 많이 했다”며 “실력도 향상은 물론이고, 스스로 공부하는 능력인 자기주도학습능력도 키워, 자신감 있게 성장할 수 있도록 돕겠다”고 전했다.
