브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 국회는 21일 한덕수 국무총리 해임건의안을 가결했다. 국무총리 해임건의안이 국회에서 처리된 것은 헌정사상 처음이다.
국회는 이날 오후 본회의를 열고 한 총리 해임건의안을 총 투표수 295표 중 찬성 175표, 반대 116표, 기권 4표로 의결했다.
해임건의안은 재적의원 과반의 찬성이 있을 때 가결된다. 국민의힘도 이날 해임건의안 표결에 참여했지만 총 298석 중 167석을 가진 민주당 주도 하에 해임건의안이 통과됐다.
다만 국회의 해임건의안은 강제성이 없어 실효성은 떨어진다.
앞서 민주당은 박진 외교부 장관과 이상민 행정안전부 장관의 해임건의안을 잇달아 제출했지만 정부는 모두 받아들이지 않았기 때문이다.
윤석열 대통령은 국회를 통과한 한덕수 총리에 대한 해임건의안 역시 수용하지 않을 것으로 보인다.
대통령실은 앞서 민주당이 한 총리 해임건의안을 결의하자 "막장 정치투쟁의 피해자는 결국 국민"이라고 날 선 비판을 내놨고, 한 총리도 "제가 공직에 있은 지 50년이 됐다. 항상 우리 국민을 어떻게 더 잘 살 수 있게 할지 초심을 갖고 일해왔고, 앞으로 그렇게 하겠다"고 밝혔다.
한편, 민주당은 지난 18일 ▲이태원 참사, ▲잼버리 사태, ▲일본 후쿠시마 원전 오염수 방류, ▲해병대 채 상병 사망 사건 수사외압 의혹 등을 책임져야 한다며 한덕수 총리의 해임건의안을 국회에 제출했다.
송기헌 민주당 원내수석부대표는 당시 "윤석열 정부 출범 이후 자행된 광범위한 무능과 폭망 사태의 중심에 한덕수 총리가 있었다"면서 "(해임건의안은) 내각이 정신 차리라는 것이다. 한덕수 총리에 대한 총체적 책임을 물어 해임건의안을 압도적으로 가결해 주기를 호소드린다"고 강조했다.
반면 이양수 국민의힘 원내수석부대표는 "이재명 대표 구속영장 청구에 대한 맞불 성격"이라며 "국민들은 총리 해임에 공감하지 못하고 있다. 제헌국회 이후 국무총리 해임건의안이 통과된 경우는 단 한 번도 없었다. 이 대표를 구하기 위한 정치 공세로 해임건의안을 가결한다면 헌정사에 씻을 수 없는 부끄러운 역사로 기록될 것"이라고 맹비판했다.
