이번 대축전은 지난 22일부터 경북 22개 시군 생활체육 임원.선수 1만여 명이 참가하여, 게이트볼, 파크골프, 축구, 배구 등 총 23개 종목 31개 경기장에서 열띤 경기가 펼쳐졌다.
생활체육 동호인 간의 화합을 이루자는 대축전 의미에 맞게 종합우승 시상 및 폐회식 없이 각 경기 종료 후 시상과 폐회가 진행되었으며, 울진군은 20개 종목 선수 488명이 출전하였다.
이번 대축전은 선수와 주민 모두가 함께 어우러지는 화합의 장을 마련하기 위해 개회식에서 선수단 입장을 생략하고, 선수단과 관람객이 개회식과 축하공연을 함께 즐기고 참여하는 방식으로 진행되어 5천여 명의 참석자들로부터 많은 호응을 끌어냈다.
또한, 대규모 행사에 대한 철저한 안전관리를 위해 소방, 전기, 시설 안전 전문가의 경기장 사전점검 및 안전 예방관리 계획을 수립하였고, 경찰, 소방 등 유관기관과 긴밀한 업무 협조를 통하여 한 건의 안전사고 없이 대축전을 마칠 수 있었다.
