Recently, it has held several meetings with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and local governments related to GTX-C extension to expedite the project. As the proposal for the GTX-C Dongducheon extension project is officially made, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport plans to conduct a feasibility verification service based on the results of the preliminary feasibility study conducted by the local government to confirm whether the project can be promoted.
According to the results of a pre-feasibility study conducted by the city in 2021, the GTX-C Dongducheon extension meets the conditions for project implementation by securing economic and financial feasibility, and in order to quickly resolve the metropolitan traffic inconveniences experienced by citizens, the project will be completed through a cost-effective method. The project is underway to open simultaneously with the GTX-C main line.
