[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 밀양시는 시도 5호선 구간 중 하남읍 남전리~초동면 성만리 구간에 시행한 은산~보담간 도로 확포장공사를 준공하고 24일 개통한다고 밝혔다.

은산~보담간 도로 확포장공사는 하남읍 남전리에서 초동면 성만리를 잇는 2.78km 구간의 2차로 시설개량사업이다.

사업비 43억원을 투입했으며 지난 2018년 9월 착공해 24일 개통에 이르게 됐다.

이번 개통으로 하남읍 파서교에서 초동면 성만저수지 구간이 기존 하남읍 수산리를 경유하는 국도를 이용할 때보다 주행거리가 4.7km, 주행시간이 3분 단축된다.

하남읍과 초동면 지역 접근성 강화와 주민 통행 편의 제공에 큰 도움을 줄 것으로 기대된다.

박재권 건설과장은 “은산~보담간 도로 확포장공사 구간 개통으로 주민 통행 편의와 안전성 확보는 물론 물류비용 절감 등 지역경제에 크게 이바지할 것이다”며 “사업 추진을 위해 노력해 주신 공사 관계자와 지역발전을 위해 불편함을 감수해 주신 시민분들께 감사드린다”고 말했다.
