브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 2021년 비수도권에 개업한 의료인의 사업소득 평균액이 수도권에 개업한 의료인보다 평균 2천만원 많은 것으로 나타났다.
25일 한병도 더불어민주당 의원이 국세청으로부터 제출받은 국정감사 자료에 따르면 2021년 지역별 의료인 평균 사업소득은 수도권이 3억3300만원, 비수도권이 3억5300만원으로 비수도권 개업의가 더 소득이 높았다.
지역별로 보면 수도권에선 서울시(3억 4,700만원), 인천시(3억 900만원), 경기도(3억 300만원) 순으로 나타났다.
비수도권에서는 울산시(3억 8,200만원), 충청남도(3억 8,100만원), 전라남도(3억 7,900만원), 광주시(3억 7,400만원), 경상남도(3억 6,800만원) 순으로 수도권 개업의보다 소득이 많았다.
그러나 병·의원 사업장의 수도권 집중현상은 뚜렷했다.
전국 4만1192개의 병·의원 사업장은 수도권과 비수도권에 각 2만 2,545개, 1만 8,647개가 위치하고 있다.
지자체별로는 서울시가 1만5419개로 가장 많았으며 경기도(5,953개), 부산시(3,601개), 대구시(3,036개)가 뒤를 이었다.
이에 대해 한병도 의원은 “실제로는 비수도권 의료인의 평균소득이 더 높은데도 수도권에만 의사가 몰리고 있다”며 “경제적 보상이나 단순 정원 확대로는 지방의료 문제를 해결할 수 없다는 점이 드러난 것”이라고 지적했다. 그러면서 “지방 필수 의료 인력을 효과적으로 확보할 수 있도록, 남원 국립 의전원 등 공공의대 설립이 시급하다”고 주장했다.
