[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 2023산청세계전통의약항노화엑스포를 성공적으로 치른 산청군이 ‘로컬100’ 선정으로 겹경사를 맞았다.
25일 산청군에 따르면 문화체육관광부에서 주관한 지역문화매력 100선 ‘로컬100’에 동의보감촌이 선정됐다.
로컬100은 지역 대표성과 영향력을 갖춘 문화적 명소, 콘텐츠, 명인 등을 발굴·육성하고 대내외 확산을 위해 정부가 추진하는 정책이다.
동의보감촌은 전국에서 최초로 한방을 테마로 한 건강체험관광지로 높은 평가를 받았다.
특히 엑스포 주제관, 한의학박물관, 한방기체험장, 한방테마공원, 약초판매장 등 한방과 관련한 다양한 시설을 갖춰 한방휴양관광을 중심으로 명실상부 ‘대한민국 여행 1번지’라는 평가다.
실제 산청군은 2023산청세계전통의약항노화엑스포를 비롯해 산청한방약초축제 등 각종 축제와 행사를 통해 해마다 방문객이 증가하고 있다.
산청군 관계자는 “동의보감촌은 다양한 문화예술행사를 개최하며 산청군 대표 문화자원으로 성장했다”며 “앞으로 세계적인 명소로 발돋움할 수 있도록 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.
