주 시장이 예산확보를 노력 중인 주요 사업은 경주 문무대왕릉 정비(56억원), 양성자 가속기 성능 확장 사업(50억원), 현곡 소현처리분구 하수관로 정비(45억원), 외동 녹동~문산 간 국도 4차로 확장(199억원) 등 이다.
이어 주낙영 시장은 예산결산특별위원회 김정재 의원, 양금희의원, 이달곤 의원을 만나 경주시가 추진 중인 핵심사업의 필요성과 당위성을 설명하며 예산반영 협조를 구했다.
경주시가 추진 중인 핵심사업은 △전기이륜차 배터리 공유스테이션 기술 개발 및 실증(56억원) △글로벌 원자력 공동캠퍼스 설립(30억원) △환동해 블루푸드 플라자 건립(12억원) △신라문화단지 조성사업(10억원) △경주 양남 동해안 내셔널트레일 조성(5억원) △SMR 혁신제조기술 지원센터 설립(2억원) 등이다.
주낙영 경주시장은 “정부예산안에 지역예산과 신규사업 예산이 대폭 삭감되어 국가예산 확보가 어려운 상황이지만, 행정력을 집중해 예산안이 확정되는 마지막까지 지역 국회의원들과 긴밀히 공조해 더 많은 국가예산을 확보할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
