【브레이크뉴스 영덕】박희경 기자=영덕군은 11월 2일 후쿠시마 오염수 3차 방류를 앞두고 총 43건에 대한 수산물 방사능 검사를 진행한 결과 방사능이 검출된 수산물이 없는 것으로 나타났다고 31일 밝혔다.

영덕군에 따르면 이번에 실시한 검사 항목은 식품의약품안전처에서 식품의 방사능 검사 지표인 요오드와 세슘이며, 방사능 물질 허용기준치는 1㎏당 100베크렐(Bq)이지만1베크렐만 나와도 대구지방식품의약품안전청에 보고한 후 추가 정밀검사에들어갈 만큼 신뢰도를 높였다.
이번 검사는 유통전 생산단계인 수산물을대상으로 강구수협위판장 16건, 영덕북부수협 위판장 13건 총29건을 검사했으며, 관광객이 많이 방문하는 동광어시장, 영덕읍시장등 재래시장에서 유통 중인 수산물은 총 14건을 검사한 결과이다.
영덕군은 수산물 소비 심리 위축에 대응하고 관내 수산물의 안전과 우수성을홍보하기 위해 검사 대상을 기존 생산단계 수산물에서 유통단계의 수산물까지 범위를 확대했으며, 검사 결과는영덕군 홈페이지와 어플리케이션을 통해 공개하고 경북도와 해양수산부와도 해당 결과를공유하고 있다.
김광열 영덕군수는 “전 국민이 사랑하는 지역의 명품 특산품 대게가 제철을 맞이함에 따라 이에 대한 방사능 검사를 철저히 시행해 관내 수산물 안전관리에 빈틈이없도록 하겠다”며, “영덕 바다와 수산물은 안전하고 신선하니 안심하시고 그 맛과 영양을 충분히 즐기시길 바란다”고 전했다.
한편, 영덕군은 지난 8월 일본 정부의 후쿠시마 오염처리수 방류에 대비해 방사능 검사장비를 도입했다.
관내에서 취급하는 수산물에 대한 방사능검사 신청을 희망하는 어업인,생산단체, 수산물 가공업체는 영덕군청 해양수산과로 방사능 검사를 신청하면 되며, 한 건의 시료 당 가식부(먹을 수 있는 부위) 기준으로 1kg 이상 준비하면 3시간 이후 검사 결과를 확인할 수 있다.
