이 세상에서 하나뿐인 그 무엇? 지난 10월30일 저녁 김형중 문학평론가(박사)와 함께 했다. 이 분은 동국대학교 부설 여자고등학교-여자중학교의 교장 선생님을 역임한 교육자 출신이시다. 이 분은 잡지 창간호만도 3,000여 권이나 모았다.

김형중 박사는 지난 8년간, 동국대학교 경영대학원 최고위 과정에서 '설법 방법론'을 가르쳤다. 세상을 움직이는 것은 “언어의 힘”이라는 사실을 믿는 분이다. “모든 위대한 정치가는 말을 잘한 사람이었다“고 지적했다. ”언어가 모든 철학의 핵심“이라고 가르쳐 왔다. "인간은 언어적 동물"이라는 것이다.
김형중 박사가 소장한 것들 중에는 문화재급-보물급들이 많다. 잡지 창간호만도 3,000여 권을 모았다.
이 외에 불교경전 300여 권, 유교경전 500여 권, 불교의 시에 관한 책 1,000여 권, 불교어록 500여 권, 화엄경 관련 책 300여 권 등을 소장하고 있다. 여러 개의 전문 박물관을 만들 수 있는 소장품을 보유하고 있다.
김형중 박사는 살아있는 자체만으로 '국가의 보물급' 인재이다. 반짝반짝 빛나는 '인간보석'이다.
불교 관련 신문들에 오랜 동안 불교 시평-칼럼들을 기고해왔다. 특별하게 열반한 신흥사 조오현 조실(시조시인)과도 인연이 깊다. 조오현 스님 열반 1주기 때는 추모평론집을 출간하기도 했다.
