【브레이크뉴스 포항】박희경 기자=동국대 WISE캠퍼스는 지난 14일 원효관 글로벌에이스홀에서 데시 달케 주한에티오피아 대사를 초청해 경주형 세계시민교육 초청강연을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

데시 달케 대사는 ’인류 기원과 다양성의 땅, 에티오피아‘라는 주제로 강연과 경주시민 및 참석자 등으로부터 질문을 받고 답하는 시간을 가졌다.
데시 달케 대사는 “에티오피아는 국제연합(UN)에 서명한 아프리카 최초의 독립국가이며 독립의 상징이다.”라며, 에티오피아는 많은 성장을 이룬 한국을 롤모델로 삼고 앞으로 양국간의 교류가 강화되기를 기대한다.“고 말했다.
경주형 세계시민교육은 동국대 WISE캠퍼스 글로벌융합연구소에서 경주시와 관학협력사업의 일환으로 기획한 명품 교양강좌 시리즈로 매월 개최될 예정이다.
이영찬 교수는 “경주 시민들을 대상으로 문화다양성, 지속가능발전목표, 국제개발협력 등 세계시민성에 관한 핵심 주제별 강의를 제공하여 책임있는 세계시민으로서의 소양을 갖출 수 있도록 지원하고자 하며, 경주의 지역인재양성과 글로컬 특성화 모델을 창출할 수 있기를 기대한다.”고 말했다.
