브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= ㈜한화가 시각장애, 다문화, 무연고 등으로 독서에 어려움을 겪는 아동들을 위해 ‘목소리 재능 기부’ 가족봉사활동을 진행한다.
이번 봉사활동에는 ㈜한화 건설부문과 글로벌부문, 모멘텀부문의 임직원 및 가족들 총 90여명이 참여한다. 지난 19일 서울 영등포구에 위치한 플레이백 스튜디오에서 세 가족이 첫 녹음을 마쳤으며, 이후 12월 17일까지 순차적으로 25가족의 녹음이 진행될 계획이다.
목소리 재능 기부 봉사활동은 봉사자들이 동화책 녹음에 직접 참여해 오디오북을 만들고 이를 사회복지시설 등에 전달하는 프로그램이다. 참여 임직원 및 가족들은 실감나는 동화 낭독을 위해 전문 성우가 진행하는 보이스 트레이닝을 받고 각 가족마다 녹음실에서 두 권씩의 책을 음원으로 담게 된다.
㈜한화는 녹음된 오디오북을 도서관과 시각 및 중증장애인 복지시설 등에 기부하는 한편 동화책, 독서보조기기(음성도서 청취용 디지털기기), 장애인용 독서용품세트 등의 물품도 함께 후원할 예정이다.
오디오북은 눈으로 보는 책이 아닌 귀로 듣는 형태의 책으로 독서보조기기에 수록되어 책을 가져다 대면 녹음이 재생된다. 시각장애 아동들 뿐만 아니라 부모님이 직접 책을 읽어주기 어려운 다문화 및 무연고 가정 아동에게도 도서 접근성을 높여 언어능력 향상과 정서 발달 등에 도움을 주는 중요한 자료다. 하지만 오디오북으로 구현된 동화책의 수는 매우 적어 지속적인 도움을 필요로 하고 있다.
이번 봉사활동은 가족 구성원 모두가 함께 참여해 가족간 화합을 다지고 재미와 성취감을 공유할 수 있어 참가자와 수혜기관 모두로부터 좋은 반응을 얻고 있다.
봉사활동에 참여한 ㈜한화 백용운 과장은 “처음 해보는 목소리 기부라 긴장했지만 아버지가 직접 동화책을 읽어준다는 마음으로 녹음을 진행했다”며 “가족 모두 힘을 합쳐 진정성 있게 참여한 뜻 깊은 시간이었다”고 전했다.
㈜한화 손명수 인사지원실장은 “임직원들이 녹음한 오디오북과 후원물품들이 독서취약계층 아동들의 학습에 도움이 되기를 바란다”며 “앞으로도 ㈜한화 3개 부문은 다양한 사회공헌활동으로 지역사회와 함께할 것이다”고 말했다.
