[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 고성군은 12월 1일부터 3일까지 고성읍 기월리 251-3번지 고성생태체험관 일원에서 ‘제4회 고성독수리 생태축제’를 개최한다.
독수리 축제는 매년 11월 중순 즈음 몽골에서 겨울을 나기 위해 고성으로 날아온 독수리를 환영하고 보호하기 위해 열리는 생태 축제이다.
고성생태관광협회가 주최 및 주관하고 2020년부터 이어져 올해 4번째를 맞는 독수리 축제는 2023년 주민참여형 축제 공모사업에 최종 선정돼 개최하게 됐다.
군은 축제에 앞서 12월 1일 고성박물관에서 ‘새와 생태관광’이라는 주제로 학술 토론회를 개최한다.
학술 토론회에서는 생물자원의 보존과 관리 대책 및 생태관광의 활성화에 대해 논의할 예정이다.
본격적인 축제 시작일인 12월 2일 오전 10시, 개막식을 시작으로 독수리와 관련된 다양한 체험 공간과 독수리 방사, 몽골 독수리 사진전 등 특별프로그램이 준비돼 있다.
특히 독수리 탐조 독수리 비행기 날리기 메뚜기 멀리뛰기 독수리 모자 만들기 독수리 조명 판 꾸미기 독수리 풍경 만들기 등 가족들이 함께 즐길 수 있는 다양한 체험 활동뿐만 아니라 도장 찍기 행사를 통해 독수리 빵도 시식할 수 있다.
이상근 고성군수는 “고성을 찾은 독수리들과 함께 이번 생태축제를 통해 생태 교육은 물론 가족과 함께 다양한 체험을 즐기며 추운 겨울 뜻깊은 추억을 만드시길 바란다”고 말했다.
