브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 장경태 더불어민주당 최고위원은 11일 민주당 이낙연, 국민의힘 이준석 전 대표의 신당 창당 및 연대설이 흘러나오는데 대해 "낙(연)-(준)석 연대가 아니라 낙석주의"라며 "조심해야 한다"고 비판했다.
친이재명계로 분류되는 장경태 최고위원은 이날 SBS라디오 '김태현의 정치쇼'에서 "정치적 사상과 목표가 아닌 정치적 셈법은 한계가 있다고 본다"며 이같이 밝혔다.
그는 "지금 많은 신당 논의, 또 연대 논의가 과연 지역구 출마를 염두에 둔 논의인지 혹은 양 정당의 반사이익을 노린, 소위 비례대표 의석을 확보하기 위한 여러 경쟁 과정인지를 봤을 때 후자에 가깝다고 본다"면서 "오히려 언론에서 신당 얘기를 부추기는 게 아니냐는 생각까지 든다"고 주장했다.
이어 그는 이낙연 전 대표가 최근 당을 향한 쓴소리를 쏟아내는데 대해 "당연히 총선을 앞두고 여러 목소리가 나올 수 밖에 없다"면서 "문재인 정부, 민주당 정부의 국무총리를 지낸 이낙연 전 대표 입장에선 당에 대한 애정 어린 쓴소리는 하실 수 있다고 본다"고 했다.
또한 이낙연 전 대표의 총선 역할론에 대해서도 "충분히 당에 대한 애정과 역할이 남아있다고 본다"면서도 "하지만 다수의 의원 중 누구를 특별대우할 수는 없다. 원칙과 상식 모임 의원들도 일반 의원들과 똑같이 평등하게 공정하게 대우받아야 한다고 생각한다"고 원론적인 답을 내놨다.

I think the members of the group of principles and common sense should be treated equally and fairly like ordinary members."
