브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= SK그룹이 이웃사랑 성금 120억원을 사회복지공동모금회에 기부했다.
SK는 지난 11일 지동섭 SK수펙스추구협의회 SV위원장이 서울 중구 정동에 있는 사회복지공동모금회를 찾아 성금 120억원을 전달했다고 12일 밝혔다.
SK는 1999년 이후 매년 이웃사랑 성금을 기부해왔으며, 올해까지 누적 기부액이 2345억원에 달한다. 특히, 올해 경기 부진으로 경영 환경이 어려운 상황에서도 연말 성금 규모를 지난해와 같이 120억원을 유지했다.
지동섭 위원장은 “SK 기부가 우리 이웃들의 더 나은 삶과 행복에 도움이 되길 바란다”며 “SK는 앞으로도 이해관계자의 행복을 추구하고, 사회적 책임을 다하는 기업 경영을 지속할 것이다”고 말했다.
한편, SK그룹은 올해에도 지속가능 사회를 위한 ESG(환경·사회·지배구조) 경영에 힘써왔다.
SK그룹은 지난 4월 신한은행, 이디야커피와 대한상공회의소 신기업가정신협의회(ERT) ‘다함께 나눔 프로젝트’에 참여해 △행복도시락 제공(3억원) △인턴십 급여 지원(4억원) △마음건강지킴이 버스 지원(8억원) 등 위기청소년 자립지원 사업을 벌였다.
또한, 지난 4월 강원도 강릉 산불과 7월 전국적인 집중호우 당시에 각각 성금 20억원씩을 지원하고, 관계사 별로 피해복구 활동에 발벗고 나서기도 했다. 지난 2월에는 강진이 발생한 튀르키예·시리아 지역의 피해 복구를 위해 100만 달러를 지원한 바 있다.
