요즘 젊은 세대는 시간을
분초 단위로 쪼개어 쓴다.
넷플릭스, 유튜브를 보통 1.5배속으로 보고
지하철을 탈 때도 몇 번 칸에 타서 몇 번
출구로 나와야 하는지 미리 검색하고 탄다.
아프리카 속담에 노인의 경험이
도서관 한 개의 가치가 있다고 하지만
젊은 세대는 전 세계 도서관 100개를
검색할 수 있는 능력을 가졌다고 한다.
농업혁명은 수 천 년을 거쳤고
산업혁명은 300여년 지속되었지만
정보혁명은 30여년에 불과했다.
지금 우리가 겪고 있는
제4차 산업혁명은 20여년으로 예상되고
뒤이어 나타날 제5차 산업혁명은
15년 정도로 단축될 것이라 한다.
모든 것이 시시각각 변하고 있다
MZ세대에서 이미 꼰대문화에 대한
저항이 시작되었었는데 벌써 또다시
4차혁명 1세대인 알파세대가 등장하였다.
그래서 노인들도 변화에
적응하기 위해 끊임없이 신세대의
신문물을 받아들이고 공부하며 노력을 하는데
참 이상하게 끈질기게 꼰대문화를 간직하고
변화를 적응하지 못하는 집단이 있다.
우리나라의 정치는
늘 살얼음판 걷듯 위태롭고
답답하고 편하지 못한데,
그래도 이때쯤 되면 새로운 변화를
기대 하면서 찬바람과 함께
정치의 계절이 시작되는 듯하다.
좋던 싫던 정치는
가장 높은 곳에서 국가의 중요한
의사결정을 하는 기관을 망라한다.
정치가 새롭게 되려면 젊고 다양한
전문가집단이 참여하여 각 분야의
균형적 발전을 이루는 정책이
개진되고 결정되어야 하는데,
아직 우리나라 정치 구도는
법조계 인사가 주류를 이루고
정치나 행정기관을 통하여 경력을 쌓은
인사들이 참여하고 전문가들은 극소수
참여하는 형태의 구조를 가지고 있어
사회변화를 대변하는 기능이 없어 아쉽다.
그렇다 보니 정책에 대한 토론은 없고
알 수 없는 힘든 법조항을 앞세워
변함없이 대립하고 물고 늘어지며
다툼의 끝은 알기 어렵고 늘 치열하다.
바라보는 국민들도 이해하기 어렵고 힘들다.
정치는 각 분야에서 쌓아온 전문지식을
국가의 균형 발전을 위하여 헌신하고
국민이 바라는 방향에 서서 뜻 한 바를
대변해주며 국민을 위한 정책에 참여하는
봉사자로 근무하면 하는 바람이 늘 앞선다.
아마 모든 국민의 소망일 것이다.
우리나라 정당의 정치는
보수와 진보로 이분화 되어 있지만
정당의 가치와 이념은 닳고 변질되어
어느 한쪽의 손을 들어주기 힘들다.
이번 총선에서는 아픈 역사를 직시하고
올바른 국가관과 올곧은 마음으로
봉사하고자 하는 올바른 정치인이
많이 나섰으면 하는 마음이다.
봉사가 그렇게 어려운 것일까?
멀지 않은 논산 연산면에 평생을
군 간부로 몸담아 국가에 헌신해 온
강교석씨가 평범한 이웃으로 지내고 있다
그는 마을 일에는 늘 앞장선다.
연산의 자랑 백중놀이 농악일원으로
북을 두드리고, 황산벌 취타대에서는
멋진 제복을 입고 뿔 고동을 불며 좋아한다.
동네 축제나 기념일에
늘 사람 좋은 너털웃음을 지며
공연에 늘 먼저 앞장선다.
동네 나이든 가정의 어른들 간식과
주전부리를 챙기기도 하고
이장과 함께 수해 현장에도 나서
함께 복구에도 앞장서며 역할에 앞장선다.
초등학교에서 봉사하며
꽃을 가꾸고 채소를 기르며
어린학생들에게 자연의 순환,
생태교육의 현장을 만들고 보여주고 가르친다.
소탈하고 평범한 이웃의 일상이
국민들이 바라는 바람직한 봉사요,
정치인상이 아닐까 생각해 본다.
신세대가 이끌어 가는 새로운 변화에
적응하지 못하면 봉사하는 마음만이라도
가지고 있으면 덜 부끄러울 것 같다.
이번 선거에서는 변화하는 4차 산업혁명시대의
다양한 전문직종의 전문가들이 많이 나와서
새로운 변화에 맞추어 입법을 하고
창의적인 토론으로 낡은 정책을 비판하며
국민에게 봉사하고 실행하는 정치를
