브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 김부겸 전 총리가 18일 이재명 더불어민주당 대표를 만나 "큰 폭의 행보를 해달라"는 말을 전했다.
이재명 대표와 김부겸 전 총리는 이날 서울 용산구 용산 CGV에서 열린 다큐멘터리 영화 '길위에 김대중' 시사회 참석을 위해 한 자리에 모여 사전 환담을 나눴다.
김부겸 전 총리는 "저는 김대중 재단 이사로 왔고 이재명 대표는 우리 당의 대표이니 초청을 받아 오게 됐다"면서 "오늘 깊은 이야기는 못 하겠지만 이 대표가 고생하는 것과 당을 위해서 늘 큰 폭의 행보를 해달라는 말씀을 드렸다"고 말했다.
이재명 대표는 "김대중 전 대통령이 열어 제쳐오신 민주주의의 길을 존경하는 김부겸 전 총리와 함께 잘 지켜나가도록 노력하겠다"며 "여러가지 어려운 상황이긴 하지만 이런 상황일수록 국민들의 기대에 어긋나지 않도록 힘을 합쳐서 위기를 잘 헤쳐 나가겠다"고 밝혔다.
이어 "지금 상황에서 가장 중요한 건 민주주의와 민생경제의 퇴행를 막는 것"이라며 "백지장도 맞들어야 하는 상황에서 모두 함께 힘을 합칠 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다"고 강조했다.

한편 이재명 대표는 이날 영화 시청 전 김부겸 전 총리를 비롯해 한화갑 전 민주당 대표, 권노갑 민주당 상임고문, 김동연 경기도지사 등과 만나 환담을 나눴다.
시사회에는 이낙연 전 총리 역시 초청받았으나, 이 전 대표는 일정상 이유로 이날 오후 7시에 열리는 시사회에 참석하기로 해 이재명 대표와의 만남은 불발됐다.

Former Prime Minister Lee Nak-yeon was also invited to the premiere, but Lee's meeting with Lee Jae-myung failed as he decided to attend the premiere at 7 p.m. on the same day for schedule reasons.
