브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 조응천 더불어민주당 의원은 28일 한동훈 국민의힘 비상대책위원장이 이재명 대표를 향한 비판을 쏟아내는데 대해 "비상 상황을 타개해 나갈 방책에 대해 얘기하는 것이 우선일 텐데 야당 내 문제점에 대해선 일언반구도 없고 계속 야당 얘기만 한다"며 "이는 내재적 한계가 있기 때문"이라고 말했다.
비명(비이재명)계로 분류되는 조응천 의원은 이날 MBC라디오 '김종배의 시선집중'에서 "자기는 성역이 없다는 식으로 계속 얘기를 하지만 수직적 당정관계와 김건희 여사라는 성역이 있기 때문에 이걸 건드리지 못하는 것"이라며 이같이 밝혔다.
그는 "야구로 치면 특급 마무리 투수가 나와 자기 결정구를 못 던지고 타자의 타이밍만 뺏는 슬로우 커브만 던질 수밖에 없는 것"이라며 "자기 거는 꽁꽁 싸매서 감추고 남의 탓만 하는 것은 지금까지 수십 년간 봐오던 여의도식 화법"이라고 꼬집었다.
이어 그는 한동훈 위원장이 수락연설에서 총선 불출마를 선언한데 대해서도 "속된 말로 이재명 대표를 구리게 보이려고 하는 것이다. 헌신 대 사당화 혹은 헌신 대 방탄 이런 것으로 보이게 만든다. 오로지 당의 총선 승리를 위해 헌신하고 표표히 떠나겠다, 공은 당에 돌리고 자기는 책임만 지겠다는 건 굉장히 참 멋있어 보인다"고 강조했다.
아울러 한동훈 위원장의 총선 불출마는 대권가도와는 관계가 없다는 말도 했다. 조응천 의원은 "대선가도에 바로 표상이 된 윤석열 대통령도 0선아닌가. 국회의원 배지 따위가 그렇게 필요한 건 아니다"라고 했다.
그러면서 "(총선 출마해) 여의도의 혼탁한 물에 계속 발을 담그고 여기서 같이 뒹굴다 보면 이미지 다 버리고 오염될 수 있다. (대권주자로) 이끌려서 재등판하는 게 훨씬 더 좋겠다는 생각을 하는 거 아닌가 모르겠다"고 덧붙였다.
조 의원은 이와함께 총선 관련 민주당의 상황에 대해 "지금은 공동비대위원장이 됐든 선대위원장이 됐든 지금 당은 친명일색으로 됐고, 이재명 대표가 인적 제도적 물적으로 당을 완전히 장악을 해놓은 상태"라며 "이 상태에서 누가 오더라도 장식품에 불과할 것"이라고 비판적 입장을 유지했다.
