Fortunately, the initial mental illness got better within three months, and I joined the Special Forces as a non-commissioned officer. At the age of 28, I entered college late in life.
I have long envied the legalization of cannabis in the United States and the Netherlands. I am confident that cannabis would have been of great help in alleviating or treating early psychotic symptoms. When I got a cold that hurt my heart, if I had been able to smoke marijuana like in the United States in the early stages of the disease, the low-level illness would have calmed down quickly. Clearly, there are countless patients in this society who can stabilize their psychology with cannabis.
My condition has worsened to the point that daily life is uncomfortable due to tranquilizers and sleeping pills. If you take medicine in the evening, your whole body will quickly collapse into sleep, like falling off a cliff. To me, who is at a point where hundreds of medicines are ineffective, the words I heard from an American customer, ‘You can smoke and eat as much cannabis as you want,’ sound like gospel. Instead of reducing my psychiatric medication, I dream of trying cocktail therapy with cannabis. I am alive and well, but it is clear that among the 1 million mental patients, there are more than 1.2 million job seekers who are like children whose ‘road ahead is 90,000 miles’. The price of injections destroys the family economy, and the frequency of attacks on family and neighbors against their will is increasing due to lack of timely treatment.
If you become addicted to drugs, you quickly turn into a mental patient. Now, it is time to remove cannabis from the drug category like in the United States, Netherlands and Canada. It is said that selling cannabis powder mixed in muffins or bread is popular in Virginia, USA. If edible cannabis is allowed, 80% of drug patients will come out to the sun and disappear. Even for the 1 million mentally ill patients, it will have a significant sedative effect in the early stages of the disease, preventing it from turning into a serious condition. We urge restaurants and convenience stores to recognize cannabis as a hobby or food, like in the United States. So far, there have been no cases of suicide or murder after smoking weed. It is not a dangerous idea, and the government’s cries about the drug epidemic can be a way to end the ‘whack-a-mole game.’ If we encourage people to buy cannabis at convenience stores as a substitute for drug consumption, the consumption of expensive drugs will be greatly reduced. It may also be an effective treatment for patients with early psychosis.
[Review] In the era of liberalization of overseas travel, smoking marijuana is against Korean law when visiting a country where marijuana is freely smoked. Therefore, I hope that the Korean government will also lift the restrictions on marijuana smoking and give its citizens the right to smoke marijuana.
