브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이재명 더불어민주당 대표의 피습 사건으로 인해 이낙연 전 대표의 신당 창당 일정이 연기될 것으로 보인다.
3일 정치권에 따르면 이재명 대표의 피습이라는 돌발 변수로 인해 이낙연 신당의 창당 일정도 변화가 불가피한 상황이다.
친이낙연계로 분류되는 한 의원은 이날 뉴시스와의 통화에서 "지금 신당을 창당하는 것은 불난 집에 부채질하는 것"이라며 "이낙연 전 대표도 같은 생각을 가지고 있다"고 전했다.
당초 이낙연 신당은 오는 4일 창당을 공식 선언한 뒤 이달 중순경 발기인대회를 여는 등 구체적 일정을 계획했으나, 이 계획은 모두 올스톱된 분위기다.
당 대표의 피습으로 민주당이 뒤숭숭한 상황에서 신당 창당을 강행할 경우, 여론의 뭇매를 맞을 수 있다는 우려가 제기되는 탓이다.
하지만 창당 일정을 계속해서 연기시킬 수도 없는 노릇이어서 어느정도 상황이 정리되면 창당을 위한 공식적인 움직임이 있을 것으로 분석된다. 정계에선 이낙연 신당 창당 일정이 약 한달여 뒤로 밀리지 않을까 라는 이야기가 나온다.
