브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 미국 정부는 4일(현지시간) 북한이 러시아에 탄도미사일 수십발과 발사대를 제공했고, 지난달 우크라이나 공격에 실제로 사용됐다고 발표했다.
이날 월스트리트저널(WSJ) 보도에 따르면 존 커비 미 백악관 국가안보회의(NSC) 전략소통조정관이 정례 브리핑을 통해 이같이 밝혔다.
커비 조정관은 "북한이 최근 러시아에 탄도미사일 수십발과 발사대를 러시아에 제공했고, 지난달 30일 러시아군은 그 중 최소 한발을 우크라이나 공격에 사용했다"고 말했다.
러시아군이 발사한 북한의 탄도미사일은 우크라이나 지역 공터에 떨어진 것으로 알려졌는데, 오작동한 것인지는 좀 더 조사가 필요하다고 부연했다.
커비 조정관은 또한 "지난 2일에도 러시아군은 여러 발의 북한산 탄도미사일을 우크라이나 공격에 사용했다"면서 "추가적인 미사일 발사의 영향에 대해서도 평가 중이다"라고 했다.
북한이 제공한 탄도미사일의 사거리는 약 900km 수준으로 전해졌다.
