브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 삼성전자는 2024년형 ‘더 프레임(The Frame)’이 ‘팬톤(PANTONE)’으로부터 ‘아트풀 컬러 인증(ArtfulColor Validated)’을 디스플레이 최초로 획득했다고 16일 밝혔다.
글로벌 색채 전문 기업 팬톤은 ‘국제조명위원회(CIE, Commission international de l'éclairage)’가 규정한 표준 광원(D65) 환경에서 디스플레이가 팬톤이 정의한 24색 표준 패턴 보드를 얼마나 정확하게 구현하는지 평가해 아트풀 컬러 인증을 수여한다.
이번 인증은 더 프레임의 주변의 조도 환경에 따라 콘텐츠의 밝기 및 컬러 톤을 자동으로 조정해주는 ‘아트 모드’에 특화된 인증이다.
일반 가정이나 갤러리 조명과 같은 표준 광원 아래서 더 프레임의 우수한 색 재현력을 통해 삼성 스토어가 제공하는 약 2300점의 아트 콘텐츠를 보다 실감나게 감상할 수 있다.
더 프레임은 2022년도 ‘팬톤 컬러 인증(PANTONE Validated)’을 통해 팬톤 컬러 표준(PMS, Pantone Matching System) 수천 개의 색상과 피부 색깔을 정확히 표현한다는 평가를 받은 바 있다.
이 밖에도 QLED 4K 화질과 빛 반사를 줄여주는 ‘매트 디스플레이’가 적용돼 차별화된 디지털 아트 경험을 제공한다.
