브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 에버랜드는 자이언트 판다 푸바오가 오는 4월 초 중국 쓰촨성에 위치한 자이언트판다보전연구센터로 이동해 새로운 출발을 하게된다고 24일 밝혔다.
에버랜드는 작년 하반기부터 중국야생동물보호협회, 판다보전연구센터 등과 긴밀하게 협의해 왔으며, 판다의 특성과 기온, 현지 상황과 같은 제반 사항을 종합적으로 고려해 결정하게 됐다고 설명했다.
에버랜드는 푸바오의 안전한 여행을 위해 사전 준비에 만전을 기할 방침이다. 또한, 야생동물에 대한 국제 규정에 따라 이동하기전 한 달간 판다월드 내 별도 공간에서 건강 및 검역 관리를 실시할 계획이다.
이에 따라 푸바오는 3월초까지 일반에 공개되며, 이동을 위한 적응 등을 위해 이번 주말부터는 오후 시간에 만나볼 수 있을 예정이다.
에버랜드는 푸바오 이동에 대한 상세 일정과 장소, 항공편 등이 확정되면 즉시 안내할 계획이다.
