브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= KT는 삼성전자와 기존폰을 자녀에게 물려주는 ‘갤럭시 패밀리폰 프로그램’을 시행한다고 2일 밝혔다.
KT에서 갤럭시S·Z 플립·Z 폴드 시리즈를 신규 구매한 고객은 기존에 사용하던 갤럭시 단말을 KT 모바일 이용 자녀에게 새 폰같이 물려줄 수 있다. 올 1월 16일부터 12월 31일까지 구매한 고객 대상이다.
신청방법은 삼성닷컴 갤럭시폰 프로그램 페이지에서 ‘부모폰 물려주기’와 ‘부모폰 물려받기’를 모두 신청하면 된다. 두가지 모두 완료하고 고객과 자녀명의 가족결합 여부가 확인되면 자녀는 배터리 교체와 액정 보호 필름을 부착해 주는 쿠폰을 혜택으로 받는다.
부모폰 물려받을 수 있는 자녀의 기준은 만 14세 미만 대상이며, 물려주기 가능한 모델은 S21·S22·S23시리즈와 갤럭시 Z 플립3∙4와 Z 폴드3∙4다.
KT는 2020년부터 고객의 가계비 부담을 덜어주고 차별화된 기존 고객 혜택을 위해 가족 구성원간 단말을 이어쓸 수 있는 ‘가족폰 이어쓰기’를 운영해왔다.
KT는 갤럭시뿐만 아니라 가족이 사용하던 단말에 본인의 유심을 삽입하고 ‘KT 패밀리박스 APP’에서 ‘가족폰 이어쓰기’를 신청하면 매월 추가로 데이터 2000MB 혜택을 최대 12개월간 제공하고 있다. 패밀리박스 APP은 KT 결합상품에 가입한 가족끼리 데이터, 멤버십포인트 등을 공유하는 앱 서비스다.
KT 디바이스본부장 김병균 상무는 “얼마 전 신규 출시한 갤럭시 S24 시리즈를 구매할 때 갤럭시 패밀리폰 프로그램을 이용하면 구매 고객뿐 아니라 자녀까지 혜택을 받을 수 있다”며 “앞으로도 온 가족이 함께 더 큰 혜택을 받을 수 있도록 다양한 서비스를 준비하겠다”고 말했다.
