브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= LG유플러스가 설 연휴를 앞두고 이동통신 통화량 및 데이터 트래픽 급증에 대비해 네트워크 최적화, 24시간 종합상황실 운영 등 ‘연휴 특별 소통 대책’을 수립하고 비상운영체계에 돌입한다.
LG유플러스는 연휴 기간 네트워크 트래픽 증가가 예상되는 고속도로, 휴게소, KTX 역사 및 버스터미널 등을 중심으로 5G 및 LTE 기지국을 사전 점검해 트래픽 용량을 증설했으며, 이를 기반으로 최적화 작업도 진행했다.
아울러 특정 지역의 데이터 트래픽 및 통화량 증가가 예상되는 명절의 특성을 감안해 장애 발생에 대비해 중요 거점지역에서 현장요원 상시 출동 준비태세도 갖췄다.
LG유플러스는 매년 반복되는 명절 통화량 및 데이터 사용량 추이를 분석해 주요 고속도로 요금소 및 휴게소, 상습 정체구간에서도 적극적으로 고객보호에 나설 예정이다.
이 외에도 LG유플러스는 연휴 기간 U+TV 및 OTT 동영상 트래픽 증가와 설 안부인사 영상통화 트래픽 증가를 예상해 집중 감시 및 대응 체계도 구축했다.
서울 마곡사옥에 비상상황에 긴급 대응할 수 있는 종합상황실을 열고 24시간 집중 모니터링에 나설 계획이다.
