KT&G 상상마당이 공연문화 활성화를 위한 공간 지원 프로그램 ‘제5회 퍼포먼스 챌린지’의 지원 작품을 내달 10일까지 공개 모집한다.
KT&G 상상마당은 이번 퍼포먼스 챌린지 공모를 통해 최대 4개 작품을 정할 계획이다.
선정된 작품은 오는 6월 10일부터 7월 7일까지 KT&G 상상마당 대치아트홀 공연장 대관 및 음향, 조명을 비롯한 보유 장비 제공 등을 모두 무료로 지원받는다. 선정 작품당 대관 기간은 일주일이다.
KT&G 상상마당이 2021년 국내 공연문화 활성화에 기여하고자 시작해 5회째를 맞이한 이번 퍼포먼스 챌린지 공모에는 국내 창작 공연을 계획 중인 제작사, 단체 또는 전공 학생 등 공연 관계자라면 누구나 지원할 수 있다. 자세한 정보는 KT&G 상상마당 홈페이지를 통해 얻을 수 있다.
지난해 최종 선정된 4개 작품 모두 KT&G 상상마당 대치아트홀에서 성황리에 공연을 마쳤으며, 이 중 ‘If I Were You’는 대학로 극장에 정규 편성돼 공연을 이어갈 예정이다.
김천범 KT&G 문화공헌부 공연담당 파트장은 “KT&G 상상마당은 ‘퍼포먼스 챌린지’를 통해 독창적이고 창의적인 공연 작품들을 발굴 및 지원해오고 있다" 며 "앞으로도 ‘상상마당’이 가진 인프라를 활용해 제작자들의 창작 활동 지원을 통해 국내 공연문화 활성화에 기여해 나갈 것”이라고 말했다.
한편, KT&G 상상마당은 신진 예술가들의 창작활동을 지원하고 대중들에게 폭넓은 문화 경험을 제공하는 복합문화예술공간이다.
지난 2007년 ‘상상마당 홍대’를 시작으로 논산·춘천·대치·부산까지 총 5곳에서 운영되며 문화예술 저변 확대와 지역문화 발전에 기여하고 있다.
상상마당의 연간 방문객은 약 300만명이며, 매년 3,000여 개의 문화예술 프로그램이 운영되고 있다.
