[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시가 인제대학교의 글로컬대학30 재도전에 전폭적인 지원을 하고 있다.
시와 인제대, 가야대, 김해대는 ‘All-City Campus’라는 비전 아래 대학 간 벽을 허물고 지역 산업계와 파트너십을 기반으로 대학뿐 아니라 지역의 동반 성장에 집중한다.
올-시티 캠퍼스는 ‘도시의 모든 공간을 교육과 산업생태계 혁신 공간으로 활용하자’는 의미를 내포하고 있다.
대학의 현장 맞춤형 교육으로 배출된 인재들이 스마트물류 같은 지역 신산업 분야와 미래자동차, 바이오헬스 같은 주력산업 분야에서 일할 수 있는 환경을 조성해 전 생애주기 교육생태계를 구축하는 것이 목표다.
먼저 시는 올 초 시청 인재육성지원과 내 글로컬대학지원팀을 신설해 글로컬대학30 사업 유치를 지원하고 있으며 대학과 산업계가 참여하는 글로컬대학 추진지원단을 구성해 글로컬대학 지정 추진의 컨트롤 타워 역할을 하고 있다.
추진지원단은 최근 김해시가 1호 시범지역으로 지정된 교육발전특구와 연계해 지역전략산업 맞춤형 인재 육성 프로그램을 연구 중이며 글로컬대학 지정을 위한 김해인재양성재단 설립, 허브캠퍼스 운영, 참여 기업 확대, 재정지원사업 재정비를 주도해 행정·제도·재정적 지원 체계를 준비하고 있다.
허브캠퍼스는 지난 2월 아이스퀘어몰 파이낸스센터에 개소했다.
접근성이 뛰어난 도심 캠퍼스로 글로컬대학 사업의 시범 운영과 최종 선정을 위한 연구공간으로 활용한다.
이곳은 시민들을 위한 공용교육시설, 개방형 지원시설로 지역 구성원들이 자유롭게 이용 가능한 열린 소통 공간이며 김해인재양성재단의 본부도 이곳에 설치해 지역의 혁신 역량을 결집하는 허브 공간 역할을 하게 된다.

김해인재양성재단은 지방자치단체 출자·출연기관의 운영에 관한 법률에 따라 설립되며 올-시티 캠퍼스 실현을 위한 지자체, 대학, 기관이 참여하는 통합거버넌스이다.
재단 출연금은 글로컬대학 사업비와 별도 관리해 글로컬대학 사업기간 종료 후에도 사업의 지속성을 보장한다.
올 상반기 설립타당성 검토와 기본계획 수립 용역을 진행하며 하반기 조례, 정관 제정 등의 행정절차가 이어진다.
시는 또 참여기업 확대 발굴과 재정지원사업의 재정비로 글로컬대학 사업의 실현 가능성을 높인다.
구체적으로 스마트물류, 바이오헬스, 미래모빌리티, 소셜디자인과 같은 특화산업 분야 우수기업을 확대 발굴하고 기업체 현장캠퍼스도 적극 유치해 교육과 취업이 논스톱으로 연계되도록 한다.
글로컬대학 사업에 참여하는 기관들에게는 기업의 니즈에 맞는 인센티브를 지원할 계획이다.
