브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 한동훈 국민의힘 비상대책위원장이 19일 서울의 핵심 승부처로 꼽히는 서대문 지역 후보들을 위해 지원사격에 나섰다.
한동훈 위원장은 이날 오후 서울 서대문구 인왕시장을 서대문갑 이용호 의원과 서대문을 박진 전 장관과 함께 방문했다.
한 위원장은 "인왕산이 있고 홍제천이 흐르는 서울에서도 정말 찾아보기 힘들 정도로 아름답고 살기 좋은 곳"이라며 "이 곳에 저희가 이 곳 시민 삶을 책임질 박진과 이용호를 자신 있게 제시했다"고 말했다.
그는 서대문 홍제동 인근의 유진상가를 언급하며 "유진상가는 지역 상권을 많이 발전시켰지만 너무 노후됐다. 우리는 서울시장을 보유한 당이다. 저희가 유진상가 문제를 여러분이 원하는 방식대로 이번에 해결하겠다는 약속을 반드시 드린다"고 강조했다.
이어 "박진, 이용호 후보는 실행력과 행정력에 있어서 이 둘보다 나은 사람 전 대한민국에서 찾아볼 수 없다"면서 "서대문의 오랜 문제 반드시 우리가 해결하겠다. 이 문제를 해결하는 집단은 바로 국민의힘"이라고 목소리를 높였다.
박진 후보는 "이제 새로운 시대가 열릴 것"이라며 "우리 한동훈 위원장과 저, 이용호 후보가 꽉 막힌 서대문을 활짝 열겠다"고 다짐했다.
이용호 후보도 "저와 박진 후보가 당당하게 당선된다면, 정말로 힘있는 국민의힘 중진들이 서대문을 확실하게 바꿔 놓을 것"이라고 했다.
한편, 민주당에선 서대문갑에 '대장동 변호사' 김동아 후보가 출마했으며 서대문을에는 지역구 현역인 김영호 의원이 대결에 나선다.
